Help & How-To

Need a quick tour of BibleWrite? This page walks you through the main features and answers common questions so you can get the most out of your time in Scripture.

Getting Started

  • Create an account or log in: use the buttons in the top right. Your highlights, notes and favorites are saved to your account.
  • Open the Bible reader: go to the Read page to choose a book, chapter and version (KJV, NIV, NLT).

Reading, AI & Notes

  • Change Bible version: use the version buttons above the text on the Read page.
  • Highlight verses: select text in the reader and choose a highlight color. View all highlights on the Highlights tab.
  • Write notes: select a verse or passage and choose “Add note”. All your notes live on the Notes page.
  • AI summaries: on the Read page you can ask for a short summary of a passage. AI is used only to explain Scripture – it does not replace the Bible.

Daily Content

  • Daily Bread devotional: a guided reading and reflection for each day. Open Daily Bread.
  • Verse of the Day: a daily verse with a short explanation and background image you can download or share. See today's verse.
  • Word pool: a set of encouraging words for the day, shown under the Verse of the Day and Home. Great for journaling and prayer prompts.

Public Feed & Profiles

  • Public vs private: by default your notes and highlights are private. You can choose to share some items publicly.
  • Public feed: explore what others are sharing on the Publics page and switch tabs to see Following, Churches, New, or Find.
  • Profiles: view your own profile at /profile/yourname and, where enabled, church profiles such as /profile/church123.
